These very finely woven baskets are handcrafted by artisans in the Northern Region of Ghana, West Africa. While farming supplies the majority of the income in the region, basket weaving provides supplemental income during the dry season. Many of the weavers are women and the extra income helps provide daily necessities for their families.
Each basket is unique so colors and designs will vary.
Basket shown is small size. The measurements are taken from the bottom of the basket and do not include the handles in the height. Length x width x height - Small 12x8x9 - (Approximate Size)
P.S. This basket works great as storage between the seats in a car. No more lost keys, pencils or cd’s. Holds a water bottle or canteen nicely at one end. Put one in the back for the kids to stay organized as well!
