NEW! Berberis Sunjoy Gold Pillar Berberis thunbergii 'Maria' pp#18,082 – This new plant was only recently launched in an announcement on the Web site, "Today's Garden Center." Sunjoy Gold Pillar berberis (pictured) – the first upright golden barberry with red new growth, this plant is burn resistant and is best in full sun. Sunjoy makes great garden architecture. Bright orange-red autumn foliage is stunning. It is proven to be burn resistant in side by side tests with other yellow leaved barberry. As this is a new variety available in limited quantities, it is likely to be in great demand, but we have it at Greenwood, at least while supplies last. It grows upright with no pruning from 3 to 4 feet in full sun. We recommend shearing after initial bloom in spring. It is long blooming - Early Summer to frost with its heaviest bloom in spring then sporadically until frost. Use it for shrub borders, grouping, masses, or specimen plantings. Pennisetum Hameln - At Greenwood, the ‘Hameln’ is our personal favorite. Its compact growth habit and finely textured foliage make this one of the most popular Pennisetum cultivars.
